Join your fellow Guild members for our annual member potluck!
When: 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., September 11, 2016
Where: Sky Lounge at the Post Apartments, 888 Western Ave., Seattle, WA 98104
What: An opportunity to spend time with your Guild colleagues, sample and share some food and drink, and enjoy the majestic view from the rooftop deck (and reflecting pool!) of the Post Apartments. Board president Kathleen Walker will also present the annual State of the Guild overview.
Details: This is a sixteen-story high-rise glass building right by the downtown
southbound entrance to the viaduct, between Marion and Columbia (east/west) behind Post Alley, and between First Avenue and Western (north/south). It’s right on the edge of Pioneer Square, just a block east of the Ferry Terminal.
There are two entrances to the building’s main lobby: from near the corner of Western and Marion Streets, and one from Post Alley. The building is restricted access, so visitors will need to be buzzed in. There should be a concierge at the front desk. If not, call Mi Ae on her cell phone (206-349-2038), and she will come down to let you in. The elevator also requires key fob access.
Once on the elevator, press the button for R1 and ascend to the Rooftop (top floor). Exit to the left and the doors to the Sky Lounge will be straight ahead.
Parking: Parking downtown is free on Sunday but there are two- or four-hour time limits (depending on the zone) strictly enforced from 10 AM to 6 PM. After 6 PM, there is no time limit. Time limits also do not apply to anyone with a handicapped placard. You can pay for parking in the CPS public parking garage on First Avenue just south of Columbia Street if you don’t want to
worry about the time limits.
