Where: The U.S. Bank Room at the Multnomah County Central Library, downtown at 801 SW 10th Avenue. The meeting room is on the first floor to the right after you enter the front doors and before you reach the second set of double doors. Food and drinks are allowed in the meeting room, and snacks will be provided.
We'll use our February meeting to plan for the future. This will be your chance to request meeting topics that you’d like to learn more about in 2017. Here were the responses to the question about meeting topics in our survey last year:
Grammar help (e.g., finding an answer to a question that has long stumped you): 8, 40%
Topics presented by visitors (e.g., publishers, writing/author groups, companies/organizations that hire freelancers): 19, 95%
Are these topics still relevant for you? Do you know people who would like to lead discussions on these topics? Please let us know at our meeting.
In addition, you can help shape how our Portland Guild group will be run. We'd like to spread the duties more evenly throughout our membership to involve more people and to reduce the role any one member must take on.
As before, we'll be meeting in the downtown library room. (But the time and place to meet in the future will also be up for discussion!)
