Kite String Editing
Greater Seattle Area

Words and storytelling are an integral part of my existence.

I have a bachelor’s degree in English/creative writing from the University of Washington. I am also a graduate of the University of Washington’s Editing Certificate Program, through which I received comprehensive training in grammar and punctuation, editing and proofreading best practices, and style guide utilization and maintenance. Additionally, I recently completed Barbara Sjoholm's course in developmental editing through the Author-Editor Clinic, continuing to hone my ability to edit for narrative structure, voice, plot, and character development.

I have experience editing and proofreading a range of different document types (including novel-length fiction, short fiction, memoir, nonfiction business and self-help books, academic writing, and college admissions essays), and I am proficient in several different style guides (primarily Chicago). I pride myself in my attention to detail, my ability to catch both mechanical and content errors, and my ability to respect deadlines. I am passionate about working with the written word and ensuring that all documents that leave my hands are error-free.

I strive to respect the individual voice of each writer that I work with. My goal is to be an ally on your journey, helping you realize your vision for your unique work.
