My specialty is helping people and organizations find their voice. I've co-authored 36 books (travel, social psychology, humor) and have 15+ years of experience as a copyeditor, developmental editor and writing coach/teacher. I've helped create a CMS, managed dozens of projects and hundreds of people, copyedited several flawless magazine issues and thousands of pages of corporate communications, and I do it all with a touch of humor.
Before getting my master's degree in journalism from UC Berkeley in 2002, I worked in corporate communications and as a magazine editor. Since grad school, I've taught and coached writing to over 200 clients, interns and employees, and students; I've co-authored 35 books for Lonely Planet and one with the co-founder of The Onion (Trump's America); I've done developmental editing on over 100 essays, articles, travel adventure books, and memoirs. I can also set up or manage editorial departments; I worked as Editorial Director for Trip.com for four years in Silicon Valley and as Executive Editorial Director for a startup in London for one.
