Join Us at Red Pencil 2023
After a four-year hiatus, the Red Pencil conference is back, with a new spring date, a new location offering more sessions and attendees, and, for the first time, options for virtual attendance of some sessions and watching recorded sessions after the event. The 2023 theme, Seasons of an Editing Career, highlights the conference’s focus on providing engaging, useful content for editors at all stages of their professional journeys. Red Pencil offers a rare and valuable opportunity to learn from peers, socialize with colleagues, and engage with exhibitors, so please make plans to join us.

Keynote Speaker: Amy J. Schneider
The Guild is thrilled to have Amy J. Schneider, author of the new Chicago Guide to Copyediting Fiction, present the keynote address at Red Pencil 2023. Amy is a well-known and well-loved member of the editing community who has always generously shared her expertise and wit; her presentations, whether in-person or remote, are a highlight of any conference. She presented sessions at Red Pencil in 2017 and 2019, and we eagerly anticipate learning about her new book, how she came to write it, and the career path that led her to this achievement.
To learn more about Amy and our other presenters, please check out the Red Pencil presenter page.
